Meet Conner
Meet our newest hero, Conner! 2.5-year-old Conner, who would probably rather be referred to as Spider-Man, is truly one of a kind. This fact was made evident to us as were making our way through the hospital and we saw a flash of red dart across the hallway... our spidey senses tingled.
We didn't find out until later, that behind the mask (and full Spider-Man costume) is a spunky, sweet, superhero-obsessed, beautiful little boy.
We had so much fun spending time with Conner. It didn't take long to realize he is truly one of a kind. He has endless energy and loves to play. We could've watched him play with his toys forever—he had us all cracking up with his imagination and use of many different voices.

At just 2 years old, Conner understands the true concept of bravery to his core.
Conner's Story:
Conner’s parents received the devastating news that their 2.5 year old had a mass in his abdomen after taking him to the pediatrician for a belly ache on July 29th, 2025. Less than 2 weeks later, he was diagnosed with stage 4 Wilms tumor (kidney cancer). He has been undergoing treatment with weekly chemotherapy at Mott Children’s Hospital, and will have his left kidney removed on November 14th.
Early in Conner’s treatment, one of his nurses asked him how he got so brave. Conner simply responded “I have to."
Conner celebrated his 3rd birthday on November 1st, 2025, and his family is looking forward to celebrating many birthdays to come.
His parents wanted to give a special shout out to all of his doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses and medical assistants, but especially Dr. Sedig, “Ms. Cole” and “Mr. Andrew”. Thank you for everything you do for our sweet boy.

There is no doubt about it, Conner is the bravest boy. We are so proud of how he has faced his adversity head on despite only being on earth for two years. That's why he is out hero.
