Jacob Wiersum's life turned upside down this summer after suffering a spontaneous rupture of a previously unknown cerebeller AVM (arteriovenous malformation) while fishing. But even despite all the terrifying unknowns Jacob has faced, Jacob and his family have kept their heads held high with God at the helm.

Meet our newest hero, Zoe Hostetter. She was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, but amidst the darkness of fear and uncertainty, Zoe has learn to shine her true colors: strength, spirit, and a lot of sparkle.   

6-year-old Maverick was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, but that hasn't dimmed his shining spirit. 

Meet Daxten Lawrence, a 13 year old who loves sports and his family. In April of 2026, he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, but amidst this great adversity, has adopted one of the most incredible mindsets and fiery spirits of anyone we know. Read his full story here.
