Our Heroes

To kick off this year, we have a very special hero to introduce to you all. Her name is Brooke and she is the human equivalent of sunshine. In August of 2023, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma after thinking she had a knee injury from playing volleyball.  

Meet our newest hero, Darrell! 14-year-old Darrell has an unbreakable spirit—even amidst his AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) diagnosis. He has a winner's mentality, so it's no surprise that his mantra is "Cancer can't beat a winner."

Merry Grit-mas! It's a Lions Christmas game day and we are so excited to share a very special hero with you all today. Meet Felix! 4-year-old Felix was diagnosed with high-risk metastatic neuroblastoma on April 17, 2025.

Meet our newest hero, Elijah! 10-year-old Elijah has been bravely battling Sickle Cell Anemia since birth, facing countless hospital stays and major medical challenges with strength far beyond his years.
