Meet Sweet Maddie
Meet our newest hero, Maddie! When we met 11-year-old Maddie in the hospital, our day immediately got brighter and more beautiful. She is the sweetest little princess around and we treated her as such by donning her in her very own sparkly crown.
Aidan dedicated the Lions vs Ravens game to Maddie with her mantra adorned on his water jug, "Fight like a diva."
Maddie was wearing her House of Hutch UNBROKEN tee when we met her, which was just the first nod to her incredible fighting spirit. She was also playing the ukulele for us and laughing all the while. There is no shortage of joy within her soul.
Maddie's Story:
Madeline is an extraordinary 11-year-old girl from the Upper Peninsula, Michigan. On February 24, 2025, she was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia—a diagnosis that changed everything. Since then, she’s traveled over 1,000 miles round trip for treatment, spending more days at Mott Children’s Hospital than at home. But through it all, Madeline has remained a radiant light.
She’s joyful, sassy, and full of life. She loves her family fiercely, and finds happiness in drawing, painting, dance parties, high fives, and the laughter of her friends at Lakeview Elementary. Sundays are sacred—football with her family is a tradition she treasures. Her smile is contagious, her laughter uplifting, and her spirit unstoppable.
In May, Madeline met Aidan and his family. That day, Aidan gave her a crown—an act that couldn’t have been more perfect. Everyone who knows Madeline already calls her a Princess, but from that moment on, she proudly became Queen Madeline. 👸
Her strength, courage, and perseverance continue to inspire everyone around her. She faces each day with grace and grit, and we couldn’t be more proud of our girl.
