Meet Liam the Destroyer
Meet our newest hero, Liam! Liam is 6 years old has been courageously fighting neuroblastoma for nearly three years at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. If there's one thing to know about Liam, it's that his nickname is Liam the Destroyer. It is very fitting for him—read to the end to find out how he earned his famous name.

Aidan walked into the Lions vs Rams game with Liam's nickname written on his water jug, a powerful reminder that whatever adversity you are battling in life, you can choose to destroy it with a smile.
We haven't gotten the chance to meet Liam yet, but we hope Aidan hopes to meet him soon.
Liam's Story
Liam's journey has been filled with both victories and incredibly hard days, but through it all, Liam has shown what true strength looks like. He is a fighter in every sense of the word.

Throughout his treatment, Liam has faced the toughest moments with a smile on his face. He powers through even when he feels sick or exhausted, and his love for his nurses and doctors shines just as brightly as their love for him. Their care has become an important part of his world.

When he’s not busy being a warrior, Liam is just like any other kid. He loves Minecraft and video games, cheering on the Lions and the Pistons, watching movies, spending time with his dog, Blanco, and enjoying his favorite food—chicken tenders.

Liam earned his nickname, “the Destroyer,” early on. His big sister, Charlotte, loved building things—Legos, blocks, crafts of all kinds. As soon as Liam started crawling, he would make a beeline for whatever she had built… and knock it down. It happened so often that “Liam the Destroyer” just stuck. Even now, he loves to build things just so he can tear them apart with a laugh.

And somehow, that nickname fits perfectly. Because every day, Liam the Destroyer is doing what he does best… destroying things including cancer.
