Meet Emmett
Meet our newest hero, Emmett! 2.5-year-old Emmett is the sweetest thing you'll ever see and has gone through so much in his little life. Yet he still remains a happy little camper.
Emmett's mom says that his mantra is "He will move mountains one day."
To us, he already has. Emmett has touched our lives in the time since we've met him. He is a testimony to the notion that the littlest life may seem fragile, but it is much mightier than you think.
Aidan walked into the Lions vs Bengals game carrying Emmett's mantra on his water jug.
Emmett's Story:
Emmett was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in May 2024 after being born prematurely at 25 weeks. He has struggled with treatment due to his high sensitivity to chemo and we have spent a lot of time inpatient. However, Emmett’s amazing team has kept him safe and saved his life when he went into cardio genetic septic shock.
Emmett was one of the first patients to get immunotherapy as a standard of care treatment which has increased his success rate significantly! Emmett’s frontline treatment was chemo every 7-10 days at the University of Michigan. Emmett started maintenance (once a month treatment) about three months ago and will continue until October 2026 when he will successfully complete his treatment.
Emmett loves all farm equipment, especially riding in the combine with his dad. He also loves riding his bike, camping, and going for side by side rides.
