Emilia the Warrior Princess
Meet our newest hero, Emilia the Warrior Princess. Her name says it all.
We met Emilia at the hospital over the summer and needless to say, it was dazzling. She was wearing her favorite Ariel wig, which is only a small part of what makes her iconic. Upon entering the room, she made us a spread of Play-Doh food—the warmest welcome. And naturally throughout the visit, it turned into a dance party. Her favorite song at the time was "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" by Taylor Swift.
Emilia is a force to be reckoned with and nothing is going to stop her. Help Emilia, our warrior princess, fight cancer by donating to her GoFundMe.
Emilia's Story:
Emilia, age 6, was diagnosed with high risk neuroblastoma on October 17th, 2023.
Since diagnosis, Emilia has endured six rounds of chemotherapy, an 8-hour resection surgery, a very scary near-death sepsis episode on her birthday, twelve rounds of radiation and is currently in her sixth round of immunotherapy. She has scans this coming Thursday, November 21st. If these scans are clear then she will be able to have her ports removed and move into a phase of treatment where she is only on an oral therapy.
Emilia is a joyful kid. She loves to sing and dance, she is a major "Swiftie," and cheerleader both literally and figuratively. She loves all things girly and enjoys new adventures, surprises and spending time with her girlfriends.
