Our newest hero is a very special guy named Xander, a flag football quarterback who Aidan describes as an old soul. His favorite pastime is beating his family in a friendly game of poker. Maybe someday he'll even take Aidan to the table.

When we met Xander at the hospital in October, he had the entire room roaring with laughter. His zest for life is contagious and he was so much fun to spend time with. We are so lucky to have met him and heard his story. 

Xander's Story:

11-year-old Xander was first diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma in December 2020 at age seven. He was cleared for 2.5 years and unfortunately relapsed in 2024. He is on round two of six to try and beat this beast again.

Xander LOVES anything football. He also likes playing baseball and loves video games. Xander has an infectious personality and makes friends anywhere he goes.

Xander has beat the odds once and he can do it again. His tenacious spirit and fun personality have taught us that it's important to keep a smile on your face even during the toughest of times... it'll lift your spirits and the spirits of those around you!
